Assistant Director of Nursing RN - Full Time $5000 BONUS

Sign on bonus: $5,000 sign on bonus payable $1,000 at completion of department orientation (two weeks from hire), $2000 at 90 days, and $2,000 at 6 months. Assists the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services, oversees the clinical operation of Nursing Service, and supervises the Nursing Supervisors. Directs Nursing Services in the absence of the Director of Nursing. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma or degree. * Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia. * CPR/AED certification required. * 5+ years of licensed nursing experience. Minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred. Job Duties * Assists the Director of Nursing in all areas of Nursing Services management. Assumes the role of Acting Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director of Nursing. * Responsible for oversight of the clinical operations throughout the designated areas of the community, including daily rounds for supervision of service resident status, environment, and safety issues. * Responsible for reviewing, developing, and revising policies and procedures. * Responsible for assisting in the evaluation of nursing practice for all nursing team members to determine that all operating policies and procedures are being followed and comply with state and federal regulations. * Maintains open communication with team members, residents, families, volunteers, and others throughout the community. * Provide supervision and oversight to assigned team members. * CNA. I don't know why this just says CNA I assume the rest of the sentence somehow got deleted * Participates in the Quality Improvement process. * Assists Director of Nursing by attending various meetings throughout the community conducts interviews, counsels clinical team members , and reviews medical information of applicants for Health Services. * Acts as liaison between Nursing and other departments. Works with appropriate team members to plan wellness programing and work with outside students and agencies. * Assists Director of Nursing with budgetary controls and inventory process. * Assumes responsibility of Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, and Clinical Leader's duties in their absence. * Attends mandatory in-services and completes Relias/Learning in-services as assigned. * All other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Advanced in-depth and practical knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within nursing. Has in-depth conceptual and practical experience. * Strong verbal and written communication skills required. * Acquired specialized knowledge of disease processes and treatments. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS * May include frequent lifting (up to 50lbs). * Extensive walking, bending, stooping, standing. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks. * Ability to work inside and outside to effectively make rounds daily throughout the facility and to respond to problems and emergencies. * Universal staffing, holiday, inclement weather, and a flexible work schedule are required in health services to meet the needs of the job.
