POSITION SUMMARY: The College of Nursing seeks a highly qualified, innovative Concentration Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program. The Concentration Director will report directly to the Associate Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs and assume administrative leadership for the PMHNP concentration. Major responsibilities include the overall coordination and management of education within the PMHNP concentration, as well as other collegiate functions as determined by the Dean or designees. Teaching, scholarship, and service expectations are based upon rank. RESPONSIBILITIES: Administration: Provides academic leadership for the achievement of academic excellence; Collaborates with the Associate Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs to provide administrative leadership for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) concentration; Represents the academic administration of the College of Nursing. Works closely with Academic Clinical Affairs to obtain and evaluate clinical sites and learning experiences. Leads the program to eminence in outcomes and reputation. Advances high-quality education and student success in collaboration with faculty. Oversees and advances student success in collaboration with faculty. Provide leadership in the program management through planning, curriculum development, implementation of innovations, and systematic evaluation. Ensures use of innovative technology-mediated teaching methods and tools for continuous program improvement. Ensures achievement of credentialing and accreditation standards. Perform other duties as assigned. University and Community Engagement: Develops and matins strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance the program and outcomes. Supports strategic alignment with the CON leadership team. Serves on college and university committees where appropriate. Conducts community and professional service activities in accordance with university criteria for rank. Metrics and Outcomes: Ensures the program outcomes meet national standards and licensure and certification pass rates. Advances strategic enrollment growth. Advances retention and graduation rates. Advances the program's national recognition. Scholarships: Conducts scholarly activities, including publications and presentations, in accordance with university criteria for an open rank position/commensurate with experience. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: Doctoral degree (e.g. DNP, EdD, PhD) from an accredited institution. Current national certification as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Graduated from a nationally accredited PMHNP program. Must be a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and listed on the Florida Department of Health by the appointment date. Must hold a Clear, Active, Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida by the appointment date. Experience in nursing education and practice as a PMHNP. This position is in-person, on campus, and requires being in the greater Tampa Bay region. PREFERRED: Two (2) years of experience teaching in Pre- or Post-licensure registered nursing programs. Two (2) to five (5) years of experience of continuous, full-time, or equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a PMHNP. Academic nursing leadership experience. Proven track record of creative work, professional writing, or research in referred and other professional journals.
