This is a continuous job posting seeking multiple candidates for positions available throughout the 2024-2025 school year. About this job: Physical Therapists provide professional expertise in the areas of self-help skills, foundational gross motor skills, mobility skills (transfers, walking, and equipment use), posture and positioning, and recreational skills for age-appropriate play. What You'll Do: * Evaluates students, identifies and documents goals, and participates in Intervention or Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing direct motor-based physical therapy services as directed. * Collaborates and communicates with teachers, staff, and parent(s) about student therapy plans and strategies that address motor skill areas such as but not limited to independent daily living skills, gross motor, functional mobility, fine motor, and visual motor. * Modifies the educational environment; provides adaptive equipment for student access; and trains classroom personnel to properly lift and transfer students, use adaptive equipment and wheelchairs, and provide other services. * Participates in meetings, conferences, and workshops and serves on committees * Follows compliance laws for meeting federal and state mandates as well as local policies in the performance of duties such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, Medicaid billing, and report writing. What You'll Need: * Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required. * Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License - Physical Therapist. * Experience with the pediatric population is preferred. * Colorado Physical Therapy License from DORA. * Valid Colorado driver's license and ability to meet District insurability requirements. * Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. * Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. * Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
