Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse Educator Perioperative Services FT Days

JOB SUMMARY The Nurse Educator plans, develops and implements a comprehensive educational program including orientation, staff development, and continuing education activities encompassing the needs of nursing personnel. The Nurse Educator collaborates with nursing leadership and all members of the health care team to effect the quality outcomes for patient care. The Nurse Educator provides leadership for maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. He/she functions in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the hospital, the Nurse Practice Act and the standards of external regulating and accrediting agencies. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s Degree in Nursing Science required. Master s Degree in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey. Minimum three (3) years current/recent experience in clinical nursing practice and Operating Room experience Experience as Clinical Nurse Educator preferred Demonstrates leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrates competence in clinical classroom instruction, management and supervision. Current CPR, and IV Therapy certification is required Membership and active participation in professional organizations Additional Information: Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey.
