F/T Foot & Ankle Preop/PACU Clinical Nurse II-Day/Eve

Summary Offering $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs* A Clinical Nurse II (CN II) demonstrates competent patient and family- centered care using the nursing process. The CN II will work with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based patient care, positive patient care experiences and quality outcomes in the professional nursing practice environment. Sign-on bonus reserved full or part-time RNs with +2 years of specialty experience. Bonuses reviewed/approved by division director.* Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * Education and Work Experience: * Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam * BSN Preferred * Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience * Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS * License Requirements: * RN License * Certification Requirements: * Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire * Specialty Certifications: * PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, Angiography, Lung Center, McAuley Surgery Center - ACLS within 1 year of hire or 6 months of promotion * ED - ACLS within 6 months of hire/promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year * Mother/Baby, NICU/PEDS - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion * Labor & Delivery - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 1 year of hire * Telemetry - ACLS within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new grad * Chemotherapy Clinic (Outpatient Chemo) - ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification within 1 year of hire and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification within 2 years of hire * Age Specific Care Provided For: * Neonates * Pediatrics * Adolescents * Adults * Geriatrics * Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel * Microsoft Outlook * Meditech * Epic * Performance Manager/NetLearning * Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: * Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. * Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. * Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. * Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. * Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. * Other Requirements: * Critical thinking * Prioritization * Adaptability Mercy Health Services is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy.
