Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation/Feeding Unit)- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus


Overview The Pediatric Rehabilitation/Feeding Unit provides 24-hour medical, nursing, respiratory and intensive therapy services. The Neurorehabilitation program treats patients ranging from infants to young adults with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, recovering from orthopedic surgery, and complex medical conditions. This position working Monday through Thursday from 6a-3:30p. Benefits You Will Receive * · $5,000 sign-on bonus * · $2000 RN referral bonus * · $10,500/year tuition advancement/reimbursement for employees earning undergrad and graduate degrees (pro-rated for 16-39 hours/week) * · 50% college tuition grant for dependents of eligible employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week up to $32,000/year * · Recently increased differentials * · Student loan repayment for employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week ($100 per month up to $10,500) * · Relocation assistance * · Bonus incentive for a masters degree * · Bonus incentive for nursing certification * · Medical, Dental, Vision (active the month after you attend HR) most places make you wait 3-6 months) * · Enhanced Mental Health Benefits * · 401K Automatic 3% employer-funded "base contribution" with additional 1.5%-3% based on years of service * · Sick and Vacation accrual upon first day of work * · Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (Child Care Spending Account) * $1,200 for each eligible child through the age of 6; $600 for each child age 7-10 * · Progressive Career Ladder with salary increase * · Program to earn free CEUs * · Free secure and monitored parking Responsibilities * Serves as a permanent charge nurse to maintain continuity of patient care between shifts and from day-to-day. * Maintains clinical visibility and presence to support patients, caregivers, and nursing staff. * Serves as an extension of inpatient nursing administration, adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards of care when formulating decisions. * Oversees all patient care activities and serves as a resource for patients requiring complex medical care. * Functions as a liaison between other disciplines and nursing staff. * Frequently monitors the continuum of care to ensure timely discharge by tracking completion of discharge education and maintaining regular communication with interdisciplinary team members. * Advocates for patients and patients' families. * Participates in department and Institute-wide quality improvement programs. Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date. Experience: Two years of experience with pediatric and/or developmentally disabled population required. License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.
