Manager, Registered Nurse

Job Summary:# Plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate operations of the department.## Maintains 24hr accountability for staff and department performance.# Participates in organization-wide coordination of patient care and integration of departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission, goals and CARES values. Qualifications:# # Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).# Bachelor#s degree in Nursing required; Master#s preferred. #Professional nursing certification as defined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) within 18 months of hire. At least#two years of progressive nursing management experience in acute care setting.# Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles, methods, and techniques. Demonstrated skills in performing nursing procedures; ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads, and families/visitors. Significant ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff.# Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, or PALS as required by specialty area.# EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
