What We Are Looking For Baylor University is seeking a Director of Nurses to support the our mission of providing quality health care to students by directing and evaluating the nursing staff. This position coordinates education, orientation and clinical outreach programs for nursing staff. The Director of Nurses facilitates clinical and nursing administrative duties and endorses the educational role of the nurse in a university environment. A Bachelor's degree, five years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree is preferred. * All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. What You Will Do * Direct and evaluate clinical nursing staff * Coordinate work schedules * Maintain inventory of medical supplies and medical equipment * Serve as a liaison with students, faculty, staff, and parents * Assign specific duties to nursing staff * Provide ongoing evaluation of nursing personnel * Plan and coordinate outreach, including but not limited to annual flu vaccine clinics and travel health * Participate in Clinical Management Team * Assist with AAAHC accreditation preparation * Complete all required professional trainings * Attend and support Student Life programs * Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission * Ability to comply with university policies * Maintain regular and punctual attendance What You Can Expect As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
