Position Overview * Full Time; 40 hours per week. * Day Shift In this role, you will: * 24/7 responsibility shared with Director. * Supervise patient care staff to ensure patient safety. * Provide high quality outcomes and an exceptional patient/family experience. * Assist the Director in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget. * Coordinate the purchasing and payroll processes. * Serve as a technical, clinical resource, and mentor to team members. * Perform work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage. * Assist the Director with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members with the goal of developing a highly reliable work team. Department Overview * 15-bed unit * 1:4 - 6 ratios * Our unit has received awards for patient experience and the Daisy Team award. Minimum Requirements Experience * Nursing Leadership: Previous experience * Nursing: 2 years Education * BSN License * Virginia or Multistate Registered Nurse license in good standing * Chemo competency course must be taken within 6 months.
