JOB ID # 2533 POSTING DATE: April 26, 2016 CLOSING DATE: Open until Filled 2016-2017 School Year POSITION: School Nurse - Various Locations REPORTS TO: Principal and Coordinator of Health Services PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide general health care services to students QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES: * Graduate of an accredited school for registered nurses, BSN preferred. * Successful experience as a school nurse preferred. * Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G-tube feeding, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred. * Knowledgeable of school health procedures including state and federal mandates. * Desire and demonstrated ability to work with school-aged children. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current and valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license. Current and valid CPR certification. SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of School Health Professionals (2015-2018 - Appendix A, Salary Schedule 5A: ($42,480-$65,194). 10 month work year.
