Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Nights Full Time

CaroMont Health is hiring a Full-time Registered Nurse to work Night#shifts within our Cardiovascular Intensive Care#Unit(CVICU)#team at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC! Sign-on Bonus up#to#$13,000#based on experience! Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) CVICU is a 26-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in the surgical recovery of immediate post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients as well as the care of unstable cardiac patients requiring continuous intense observation, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, advanced pharmacological therapy, mechanical ventilation and/or invasive therapy/monitoring. Frequent Procedures, Services, and Processes:#The most frequent diagnoses include Myocardial Infarction, Arrhythmias, Congestive Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, Chest Pain, and Pulmonary Edema. Primary surgical diagnoses include Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery, Valve Replacement/Repair surgery, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement or any surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Frequent procedures and treatments performed include mechanical ventilation, pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures, intraortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy, epicardial and transvenous pacing and left ventricular assistive device (LVAD) therapy. Age of Patients:CVICU provides care to patients of various#ages. The patient population generally cared for are the early adult through the late adult age span Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities: To render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Performs all the activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates to ancillary personnel. Required Skills # Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license) Recent acute care experience within past 3 years preferred Minimum of 6 months hospital experience preferred Critical Care experience strongly preferred Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements Current BLS, ACLS and/or PALS as required by specialty# About CaroMont Health CaroMont Health recognizes that caring doesn#t stop with patients.
