Associate Health Nurse - Part time - Days

Part time position, days. Must be available to work Tuesdays for pre-employment physicals Main Function: * Assist provider with pre-employment physicals for candidates during the hiring process. * Perform annual health updates and mask fit tests for current associates. * Administer vaccines as needed. * Assists with clinical and clerical tasks that facilitate flow of patients and health information for the medical record of Associates and volunteers. * Works collaboratively with registered nurse, LPN and medical providers. * Responsible for maintaining inventory of medical-surgical supplies. Required Job Specific Competencies: * Demonstrates proficiency in use of Windows-based PC software including Word, Excel, Systoc. * Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to tailor one's approach to the patient according to the customer's age-specific needs. * Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments. * Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers. * Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system. * CPR, DOT and non-DOT urine drug collection, PPD, immunization administration skills. * Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. Qualifications: * Required: Valid NYS RN Licensure * Required: Ability to work on Tuesdays for pre-employment physicals. Education: * A graduate of an approved school of nursing * AAS in nursing, BSN or Diploma nursing degree required Experience: * Prefer minimum of two years experience in outpatient and/or occupational health setting Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour Starting Pay: Based on experience Thompson Health is an EOE encouraging women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply
