PreOp/PACU Nurse Manager

We are looking for a Pre-Op PACU Manager to join our new surgery center at The Villages, FL! Excellent benefits and work-life balance including paid holidays and no weekend work. SUPERVISOR: ASC Director EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing * Current FL Registered Nurse License * Current PALS, BLS and ACLS certifications required * Minimum of Two years Preop/PACU nursing experience * Management experience preferred OVERALL RESPNSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the pre-op & PACU departments. * Communication skills must be a strong asset. * Collaborate with: Anesthesia, Other Department Managers, Administrator, Physicians, Physician Offices, Scheduling SPECIFIC TASKS: * Floor coverage in pre-op or PACU * Participate in periodic inspections as necessary with Quality/Risk Management/Infection Control/Administrator/Life Safety. Completes Incident Reports as indicated. Participates in writing/performing QIP studies. * Monitor and control staff schedules. * Schedule/conduct and assist with recruitment and training of staff as well as discipline of staff. * Provide information/education from the corporate level and the center level to the department staff in huddles or communications. * Oversee Inventory of supplies in collaboration with MM. * Maintain department policy and procedures as defined by Surgery Partners. * Timecard verification of staff weekly for payroll. * Perform annual reviews of all department staff.
