Surgical Technician - Operating Room (Evenings)

Job Title: OR Technician Location: Newark Beth Israel Req#: 42442 Status: Full-Time Shift: Evenings Department name: Operating Room Job Overview: In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients. Qualifications: Required: * Completion or Graduate from an accredited Technical program Preferred: N/A Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable): * Current BLS required (American Heart Association) * Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions): * Evenings * Varies * FT Essential Functions: * Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes. * Ensure the patient s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative. * In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients. * Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensures patients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
