Preferred six months to one-year RN clinical nursing experience in intensive care nursery, perinatal, ICU, or emergency department. Responsibilities #assessment of the patients and their families# biopsychosocial, and spiritual needs to meet their self-care, educational, environmental, safety and discharge goals. #assessment of the ancillary staff competencies and appropriateness of delegation for data collection for the above factors. #develops and prioritizes care of the patient and family based on the ongoing assessment and use of the individualized care plan in collaboration with the patient and health care team. #utilizes available resources including appropriate referrals to follow through on the plan of care. #The RN ensures completion of the interventions and appropriate patient education by demonstrating clinical knowledge for standard therapies as outlined in care guidelines for their areas of training and cross training. #Labor/Delivery/Recovery and high risk antepartum, intrapartum patients and postpartum patients. #Mother-Baby, low risk antepartum, postpartum, and well newborns. #transitional care of newborn.# #Care of the high risk newborn in Special Care Nursery. #ensures that the patient and family members will be involved in decision-making. # delegate tasks/functions to competent care givers. #ongoing coordination, evaluation and revision of the patients# plan of care, utilizing feedback from the patient/family and the health care team. #evaluation of ancillary staff competencies.
