Summer Camp Nurse

Saint Vincent College seeks applications for a part-time RN position for summer camps. The position is responsible for assisting with summer camps held on the Saint Vincent College campus. Required Qualifications: Education: * Graduate of an accredited nursing program * Current PA RN License that is active and in good standing * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) certification Experience: * At least one year experience in a professional medical work environment with an understanding of anatomy and physiology, medical ethics, medical terminology, and an understanding of the Privacy Acts. Essential Duties: * Check-in campers. * Review medical forms, disease conditions, and medications the camper is taking, including over-the-counter medications. * Complete medication log and assign times to distribute. * Distribute all medications to campers. Other Duties: * As requested by the Director of Event and Conference Services. Special Challenges and Environment: * Performs in a wellness setting caring for individuals under the age of 18. * Must maintain confidentiality according to established guidelines. * Working time varies from morning to late evening hours, including some weekends.
