Registered Nurse - Inpatient Renal Department, RN

Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, Summary: Provide nursing care to assigned patients which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning care, implementation of care, teaching and evaluation. Population served based on scope of services in the department. Responsibilities: * Provides ongoing accurate, complete physical, emotional, and spiritual assessment for all patients assigned. * Establishes nursing diagnosis based on assessment with follow through in plan of care. * Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care, updating and monitoring effectiveness. * Provides services and care relevant to individualized patient assessment and/or diagnosis. * Initiate the teaching and education plan for the patient and family; evaluates effectiveness and revises as needed. * Provides physical care for the patient in a safe environment observing Infection Control Standards. * Safe, accurate, timely administration of medications, IV fluids, blood and blood products. * Supervise LPN, NA, UC, student nurses and orientees to maintain competent level of care. Supervise RNs when in the role of charge nurse. * Accurate and complete documentation including co-signatures when required. * Assists in obtaining data for PI program. Involved in PI Projects or committees as requested. * Displays analytical and basic problem-solving skills. Communicates problems to manager as appropriate. * Attends educational programs provided by the Hospital or those which are outside the Hospital that are related to job responsibilities. * Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. * Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. * Performs other duties as required. Education Skills Experience * Nursing diploma or graduate of accredited school of nursing * Current NYS RN License * BLS * ACLS * 3 years Med Surg Experience required * Critical Care experience preferred Location: Northern Dutchess Hospital Work Type: Per Diem Standard Hours: 0.01 FTE: 0.010000 Work Schedule: Day 8 Work Shift: 0700-1500 Org Unit: 1942 Department: Inpatient Renal Exempt: No Grade: S11 Salary Range: $32.6400 - $65.0100 Hourly Working conditions: Essential: * Some manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity * Sedentary/light effort.
