City/State Virginia Beach, VA Overview Work Shift Third (Nights) (United States of America) Sentara is currently hiring a Unit Coordinator RN to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Cardiac Unit 2 West. Hours/Shift: Full-time, nights. 7pm to 7am Department/Position Overview: 2 West is a 34-bed medicine unit with a primary cardiac focus. Our team works with hospitalists and cardiologists to care for congestive heart failure, angina, STEMI/NSTEMI and arrhythmia patients. We admit patients who have just undergone cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ablations, and cardioversions. Aside from the awesome care we provide, we have an amazing and diverse team of nurses and patient care technicians. We are committed to excellent patient care and patient satisfaction. RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
