Infection Control RN Full-time


The Infection Control and Employee Health Nurse is responsible as Employee Health Coordinator, for promoting health and safety to all employees by facilitating implementing and tracking an Employee Health Program which includes disease detection, prevention and treatment, following up employee illness and injuries, conducting employee health screening; and promoting a safe work environment. As Infection Control Practitioner is responsible, for collaborating with Infection Control Director to create, promote and update an Infection Control Plan and a Risk Assessment. Also responsible for collecting analyzing, interpreting and reporting infection-control data and notifying local, state and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required and uses this information to analyze tendencies, identify outbreaks and implement an action plan to minimize incidence of HAI (Hospital Acquired Infections), following protocols and best practices as per Joint Commission, CDC, OSHA, Health Department and other Federal and local agencies. Conduct infection control risk assessment for construction and renovation projects, equipment inspection, and pest control. Educate individuals and groups about the risk, prevention, transmission, and control of infection, disease specific care, and appropriate level of precautions. Qualifications: * Active Florida RN license * BLS and ACLS certification * Minimum 3 years of RN acute care experience * Must have experience with Infection Control practices * Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm with 24/7 reporting responsibility * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
