Registered Nurse Post Lung Transplant Full Time Days


UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Post Lung Transplant Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Services team. OOur team of lung transplant RNs provide longitudinal, lifetime care for our post-lung transplant patients, including lab monitoring, implementation of immunosuppression dose changes per MD orders, as well as monitoring and implementing plans for transplant-related comorbidities, such as viral/bacterial/fungal infection, acute and chronic rejection treatment, and renal compromise. This role is primarily office-based, with a high volume of phone triage. Patients are seen by the physician team in the outpatient clinic 3 mornings per week and the RN team follows up on orders and plan of care. These RNs facilitate discharge planning and teaching on the inpatient units for new transplant recipients and post-transplant patients who are readmitted for care. There is frequent coordination of care with the patient's local providers. SCHEDULE 100% day shift. REQUIREMENTS Requires 2 years med/surg nursing experience. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS Washington State RN license required by start date. DESIRED BSN preferred.
