Cardiac Sonographer Reg IP

Overview This position requires a registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registered cardiac sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Performs various cardiac ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer.Delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers. Talent Pool; Allied Health Responsibilities Performs 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, TEE's, and stress echocardiograms completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner.--------------------------------------------------Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists in oral and written form.--------------------------------------------------Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of all testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner.--------------------------------------------------Maintains skills in all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur.--------------------------------------------------Maintains CPR certification.--------------------------------------------------If trained by staff education and demonstrates competency, performs IV insertion and maintains IV competency skills on an annual basis. Administers image enhancing agent as ordered to optimize quality of echocardiogram. Qualifications EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent, RequiredAssociates, Preferred EXPERIENCE:1 year, Healthcare - Allied Health, Preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRDCS | Reg Dx Cardiac SonographerRCS | Registered Cardiac SonographerRDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI.BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderIf driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.PREFERRED
