What You Will Do Project manages pharmacy automated dispensing technology projects as assigned. * Act as project manager for pharmacy informatics and related consulting projects; supervise activities of assigned project resource personnel; prepare deliverables; provide recommendations; manage project budget expenses, prepare reports; deliver results to customers; identify and mitigate risks and issues; complete performance improvement projects using company-endorsed methodologies. Monitors and evaluates system activities to ensure systems run properly. * Coordinates site visits from vendors for upgrades and maintenance, as needed. Identifies and resolves problems with the medication distribution system, as well as assists in the development and implementation of programs to improve and enhance service quality. This includes analyzing data reports and educating staff on research findings, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing system programs and making recommendations to the respective vendors for upgrades. Review historical data on patient-care-unit-specific medication use trends. * Interpret data, make recommendations, and implement inventory changes to maintain a safe and appropriate selection of standard stock. Coordinate the removal of infrequently used non-standard stock items to improve space and medication utilization. Be able to conduct statistically valid analysis of overall automated dispensing system reporting functions to maximize safety and efficiency including overrides, stockouts, vend-to-fill ratios, etc. Analyzes financial reports generated by the technology systems for the pharmacy department. * Presents reports to management and assists with the resolution of issues identified. Work with the Director, Director of Accreditation and Compliance, and Director of Clinical Services to ensure safe and appropriate selection of floor stock medications throughout the hospital and clinics and review requests for new additions to floor stock. Coordinate approved changes with Pharmacy Buyers and other key stakeholders. Acts as subject matter expert for the area of responsibility. * Assist customers in identifying automated pharmacy technology needs and project resources; Facilitate installations and upgrades using Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar methodology; troubleshoot issues; develop and maintain tools, templates, reports, and other deliverables for area of responsibility. Develops and administers training and education programs for the area of responsibility. * Train users on automated pharmacy technology operational best practices; Develop and maintain training materials and references for area of responsibility. Supports sales and marketing. * Participate in needs analysis process of prospective clients as needed; define deliverables and scope of work for consulting projects; provide resource requirements and/or savings estimates for sales pro-forma; participate in client proposal meetings as required; represent the company at conferences and trade shows; interface with industry analysts; document customer proof points for area of responsibility; present topics in company hosted webinars; publish articles and proprietary research articles. Contributes to the company. * Participates in self-development activities related to current job function or future career growth; participates in company initiatives to achieve corporate strategic objectives; other duties as assigned. What You Will Need Requirements: * Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) * Three years experience in managing pharmacy dispensing technologies systems (e.g. Omnicell, Pyxis). * Prior experience managing pharmacy dispensing technology installations and upgrade projects. * Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel * Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus. * Past supervisory experience is a plus.
