EKG Associate, NS82 Transplant Surgery

The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time EKG Associate, NS82 Transplant Surgery. The successful candidate will: * Respect and promote patient's rights. * Conduct cardiac monitoring on adult population. * Perform direct nursing care activity as delegated. * Perform indirect nursing activities as determined by routine assignment as well as clinic activity. * Practice effective infection control measures. * Respond to the changing needs of patient care areas. * Obtain, record, and exchange information on behalf of the patient. * Plan appropriately to meet clinic objectives and take initiatives where necessary. * Take an active role in managing resources. * Participate in Quality improvement activities. * Participate in personal/professional development. * Use ethical principles to guide decisions and actions consistent with University Hospital's operating goals and objectives. Required Qualifications: * EKG and/or ECG and Phlebotomy certification. * 2+ years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification Program. Work Schedule: Variable Days; 8:00am to 4:00pm Salary Grade/Rank: SL-2 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: An approved COVID-19 vaccination.
