The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The 9T Cardiology is a 32-bed unit designed to provide 24/7 care to adolescents, adults, and a geriatric patient population with acute illness or varying stages of recuperation from diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or surgical intervention. The unit features all acute care private rooms with telemetry capabilities. There is a diversity of patients with alterations of the cardiovascular system, including those with: Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, ACS/Angina/Chest Pain, NSTEMI, Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmic Dysfunction, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and DVT. This unit is also equipped to provide care to patients who are post-diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac device implant and electrophysiology study and/or ablation. REQUIRED: * Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. * Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training. * Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). * Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific.
