We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team, specializing in providing one-on-one care to students with unique health needs. As a School Nurse in this role, you will work closely with individual students, collaborating with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of the student. Responsibilities: 1. Provide personalized health assessments for students requiring one-on-one care. 2. Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans in collaboration with parents, physicians, and school staff. 3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers. 4. Monitor and manage the health and medical needs of the assigned student, including chronic conditions or acute illnesses. 5. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services if necessary. 6. Educate school staff on the specific health needs and care requirements of the assigned student. 7. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for the student, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. 8. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on the student's health status and progress. 9. Collaborate with the school's health services team to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students. 10. Stay informed about current health trends, medications, and treatments to provide the best possible care. Qualifications: 1. Valid nursing license and certification. 2. Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a school setting. 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. 5. Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school nursing. 6. CPR and first aid certification. 7. Empathy and patience when working with students, parents, and staff. This is a 4-hour-per-week part-time position. The position will require the individual to report to campus up to 3 days per week. Pay

Average North Carolina Staff Position Pay

$50.25/hour
