Renal Patient Care Tech

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Dialysis Technician follows policies and procedures per the state Scope of Practice in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities * Record and monitor pre and post treatment vital signs * Collect and label blood specimens and ensure timely delivery to specified labs * Document appropriate patient information and report all new and unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the Registered Nurse * Set-up, prime and monitor dialysis equipment and cleaning equipment * Promote and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment Qualifications * High school diploma or GED equivalent required * Must be in good standing as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Certified by Maryland Registry * Must hold a current license in the state of Maryland as a Dialysis Technician * Demonstrated completions of all applicable state requirements for education training, competency, and standard of practice * Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a dialysis treatment center * Current CPR certification required * Knowledge with basic computer skills and other health systems required * Must be able to lift patients and assist with ambulation when needed
