Clinical Dietitian

Overview At FutureCare our Clinical Dietitians provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for our resident population. The Clinical Dietitian follows strict guidelines as outlined with FutureCares diet manual and the clinical nutrition policies & procedures manual. We also offer a Competitive Salary, Excellent Benefits Package, Flex/Advance Pay, Paid Time Off, Employee Assistance Plan, and 401K Plan. * Salary Range starting at $83,000* Responsibilities The Clinical Dietitian will plan, develop, implement and monitor the nutrition plan of care for each resident. Responsibilities include timely nutrition assessments, care planning, and MDS completion. The nutrition plan of care is accurately and clearly communicated to the interdisciplinary team, resident and families via verbal discussions and written communication. Nutrition programs and systems are routinely monitored as part of the performance improvement program. Qualifications * Current Registered Dietician license in the state of Maryland * Bachelor's degree with a major in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field * At least 2 years' experience as a dietitian, preferred * Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and ability to apply all steps of the process * A strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way * Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility highly desired * Superb organizational and time management skills * Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills * Ability to counsel and educate others * Decision making, problem solving and collaboration skills a plus * Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
