$20,000 Sign On Bonus We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-centered Emergency Department/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Director. Summary The ideal candidate has a BSN, holds a valid IL RN license, has had 2+ years of management experience, and is certified in CPR, ACLS & PALS. The Emergency Department/PCU Director works under the direction of the CNO to manage the functions of both the Emergency Department and Progressive Care Unit, strategic planning, policy and procedure development, budgeting, establishment of operating methods and systems. Provides effective leadership to ensure that the patient care services are organized, directed and staffed to meet scope of services offered. Possess the ability for independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative. Facilitates interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the department and throughout the organization and serves as a role model for staff. Required Education and Experience * Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. * BSN or equivalent experience. * 2+ years of Management Experience. * Knowledge of JCAHO & State & Federal regulations governing emergency care desirable. * Possess current hospital experience (within 5 years); 2 years of emergency nursing and supervisory experience. * Computer literacy and the ability to operate basic office equipment. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
