Job Summary: La Rabida is currently recruiting multiple full-time Respiratory Therapists to join our Respiratory Therapy department in Chicago, IL. Multiple shifts available, both day and night. Rotating weekends and holidays. We are a small children's acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma. Functions in an independent and professional manner to provide high-quality behavioral health services to outpatient clients and their families. Essential Respiratory Therapist Functions: * Performs clinical duties of the Respiratory Care Practitioner consistent with the Hospital mission and scope of care. * Administration of therapeutic gases, medicinal and bland aerosols, bronchial hygiene procedures, noninvasive monitoring, and ventilatory support. * Administration of, but not limited to; nebulizer therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen set up, weaning, code blue, and teaching parents to draw up the correct dosage of medication for nebulization treatment.
