Registered Nurse 2 Full-Time - Permanent Day Shift Spokane Veterans Home We are excited to announce we have one (1) opening for a full-time day shift Registered Nurse 2 at the wonderful Spokane Veterans Home! Please Note: Expected work hours will be 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. * $8,000 Relocation Incentive for all Qualifying Candidates!*  *Qualifying candidates are those who are relocating their permanent residents from 200 miles or more away from the WDVA facility in which they will be employed. Candidates must be hired no later than September 1st, 2024 to receive the incentive and  must be hired into full-time, permanent positions to be eligible.  * This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step T. Step U has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules".  Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for facilities open twenty four hours per day. Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify. Bring your experience and passion and apply today!Some of what you'll be doing: * Preparing, carrying out, evaluating, and revising treatment plans for individual residents based on physician recommendations. * Passing medications, administering, monitoring and recording treatments, and assessing resident condition, including skin assessment. * Suctioning patients, administering oxygen, catheterization, irrigation, administering IV solutions, colostomy and trach care, and maintaining gastric feeding tubes and pumps. * Supporting and recording physical and psychosocial changes. Recording actions and findings in medical records. * Making nursing assessments of residents as necessitated by the condition of the resident, and on a quarterly basis for the completion of the minimum data set. * Monitoring and keeping a safe environment, including preventive infection control. Required: * Current, valid Washington State License to practice as a registered nurse. * Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. frequently using proper techniques; capable of reaching for activities such as repositioning or to gain access to supplies; capable of pushing or pulling with sufficient strength. * Ability to follow accurate methods and practices of nursing and restorative care, personal hygiene and sanitation methods, record keeping, report preparation, infection control procedures and resident rights. * Ability to assess, evaluate and participate in the development of appropriate plans of care. Plan, implement and document appropriate discharge planning for residents when appropriate. * Ability to speak, read and write in English for medical charts. Preferred/Desired: * Long-term care experience. * One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.
