Registered Nurse, Resident (New Grad) - Bronx, NY

Overview The VNS Health Nurse Residency Program is designed to empower recent RN graduates with hands-on clinical experience and training to develop the next generation of expert home care clinicians. This two-year, full time, hybrid training program for RNs with minimal or no clinical experience combines in-depth classroom instruction delivered in-person and virtually, a caseload of patient visits guided by preceptor supervision, and mentorship from our esteemed nurse educators. Reviews experiences in group debriefs * Practice in the community with a preceptor as part of an interdisciplinary care team * Deliver personalized nursing and care management to patients in their home or care facilities * Constantly evaluate evolving patient needs and respond with plan of care adjustments * Achieve continued professional growth through attendance at in-services, training, continued formal education and select journal readership Qualifications * Recently received RN license * Degree in Nursing from an approved program required * No prior work experience in nursing required * Must be able to walk up and down steps to access patient residences
