Student Nurse Program for RN Students We're here to grow your Nursing Career! Join our Team of Nursing professionals at ShorePointt Health Port Charlotte. We look forward to connecting with you and discussing your career goals. Enter the healthcare workforce before graduating nursing school and be paired with a nurse mentor to support your learning. The student nurse is a candidate brought into this program after successfully completing one semester of nursing school. A Student Nurse works under the supervision and/or direction of the Director, Clinical Manager or Professional RN, performs various duties that does not require licensure. He/She will assist Professional RN's in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of ShorePointt Health Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Requirements: * Currently in the 2nd semester of an accredited RN Nursing School * Will be considered a student nurse until the candidate has received a Auth. to test & Letter from the Board to practice as a graduate nurse. This PRN Nurse Assistant / CNA will float throughout the whole hospital, including COVID units - depending on staffing needs.
