Registered Nurse (Part-Time)


Position: Registered Nurse (RN) within Assisted Living Schedule: We offer flexible staffing options in a Health Office that is open Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm and Saturdays from 8am-12pm. Must work at least 26 hours per week and participate in our on-call biweekly rotation. You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. Primary Responsibilities: * Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift. * Administers direct care as necessary. * Administer prescribed medications to patients. * Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment. * Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition. * Assists in developing comprehensive care plans. * Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered. * Responds to resident emergency call system. * Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence. * Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. * Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies. * Shares on-call duties with designated staff. Qualifications: * All nurses must be currently licensed in the state of CT. Must have current CPR certification. * Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred. * Ability to build rapport with patients. * Compassionate and caring demeanor.
