Job Description: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is manages cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director. SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Exercises good judgment, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills * Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently * Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Maintains confidentiality, thinks and acts independently with minimal supervision * Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location * Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments * Ability to work weekends occasionally * Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality * Basic computer skills EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES * Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges EXPERIENCE * Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges GENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: None The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
