An employee in this class performs a variety of standardized laboratory tests in a variety of fields, which include clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and hematology. Work may include providing technical guidance or training to laboratory staff. Work is performed under the general direction of a technical supervisor.
