Everest Rehabilitation Hospital of Temple is an all-inclusive inpatient rehabilitation facility that will feature 36 private rooms creating an environment focused on individualized care. Patients at Everest will receive compassionate care from our therapists, nurses, and staff while utilizing the latest in robotic rehabilitation technology. The hospital will service all hospitals and patients in Temple, Killeen, Harker Heights, Ft. Hood and the surrounding Central Texas areas.

TEXASJOB TYPE:  Charge Nurse (RN)  - FT Night Shift 7p - 7a shift, 3 nights per week, every other weekend rotation, must work minimally 1 major and 1 minor holiday, BSN &amp; charge nurse experience is required The Charge Nurse is responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care. This role includes clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs.Essential Functions<ul><li>Complete routine audits to ensure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner and UDS for compliance.</li><li>Identify and address educational needs among nursing staff based on clinical practice and feedback.</li><li>Educate and monitor staff on proper QI documentation to reflect accurate burden of care.</li><li>Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for nursing staff caring for medically complex patients.</li><li>Support patient and family education and coordinate resources to reduce hospital readmissions.</li><li>Provide UDS documentation/orientation training for newly hired licensed nurses.</li><li>Conduct remediation sessions for nurses with documentation deficiencies.</li><li>Participate actively in Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement (CQPI) efforts.</li><li>Ensure the nursing team delivers care that maximizes patient safety and meets all care standards.</li><li>Assist with nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Additional InformationDemonstrates leadership capabilities and a commitment to nursing excellence.Experience in clinical teaching and quality improvement is strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills &amp; AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program; BSN preferred.Experience: Minimum of two years in a rehabilitative or acute care setting, with demonstrated leadership ability.License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; Child and Adult Abuse Certification required; CRRN preferred. WHY JOIN US We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
