<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 26, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient clinic setting requiring 1+ years of outpatient PT experience and ME state licensure.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Outpatient physical therapy clinic co-located with a primary care facility, though the role is PT-only</li><li>Patient population includes mostly adults and school-aged children (non-pediatric developmental diagnoses)</li><li>Common diagnoses include post-ortho, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalance</li><li>Evaluations booked for 60 minutes and treatments for 45 minutes, with single patient care model</li><li>Average caseload of 8-10 patients per day, subject to change</li><li>Uses Cerner EMR</li><li>Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend rotation or call requirements</li><li>May float to a nearby facility (about 30 minutes away) to cover outpatient or, rarely, inpatient needs with advance notice</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>ME state license required (or compact license); license required if applicable</li><li>BLS certification required</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required</li><li>Manual therapy and exercise science skills required</li><li>Experience providing patient education, including on adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Department is supported by 2 PTs and 1 PTA, with the PTA serving as clinic supervisor</li><li>Rehab office coordinator schedules initial evaluations while PTs schedule follow-up visits</li><li>Orientation includes New Employee Orientation plus 2-3 days of department-specific skillset training</li><li>Rehab department closes on 6 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) but staff are expected to work all other scheduled holidays</li><li>RTO requires manager approval</li><li>Business casual or solid-colored professional scrubs accepted</li><li>Free parking available</li><li>Open to first-time travelers</li><li>Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health hospital in a permanent capacity</li><li>Radius requirement applies based on distance from facility</li></ul>
