Pros
Solid Group of ICU nurses to work with. Very knowledgeable and competent. ICU Intensivists at NOC are Pulmonologists and are easily approachable and acknowledge RT input and recommendations.
Cons
RT department is same as any other hospital, average to below average support from management. RT scope of practice is not used to its full potential. No ABGs… No assisting in intubations, just sets up the vents and connects once all the action is done.. Oh and a lot of pointless breathing treatments.. place is Neb crazy.
Staff was clique, rarely had more than 1 CNA/Tech for the whole unit, horrible teamwork, manager/director of unit was unavailable and unfriendly
