Sitter &amp; Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the Shift Supervisor 3:00 pm-11:30 pm primarily Monday-Friday. May be required to work some weekends as necessary. May serve as Charge Nurse as necessary. The individual will be providing supervision to staff and coordinating the organized nursing services and the environment in which clinical nursing is practiced for assigned units.

Summary of Responsibilities:

* Conducts unit surveys, coordinates and/or recommends action to resolve observed or reported resident care
* Resolves departmental staffing issues; attending nursing and other meetings as assigned


* Manages staff, and maintains sound organizational relationships within employees, residents, and resident families while ensuring continuous quality care is provided
* Coordinates nursing services and ensures effective utilization of staff resources


* Provides supervision to staff and participates in formulating, interpreting and implementing departmental objectives


* Provides quality resident care in compliance with established guidelines and regulations


* Reviews the effectiveness of resident care plans, departmental and facility administrative policies and procedures.


* Updates care plans; receives and provides daily reports, makes rounds to observes physical and mental status of residents



Minimum Qualifications

* Licensed as a Registered Nurse in VA.


* Experience in leadership or management.

Additional Considerations

* Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.

Chief Purpose of this position: We are seeking candidates for the role of Anesthesiologists to provide care to patients at VCU Health as assigned by the Department Chair or Chair's delegate. This includes preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthetic care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation and intensive care, therapeutic/diagnostic nerve blocks, and consultation in cases of chronic pain.
