Great coworkers (as of Feb 2024) who are welcoming and supportive of each other. The camaraderie made the issues tolerable. Pays well… but they drop the more expensive travelers asap, mid-contract. Strict masking rules, but aside from reprimanding mask rebels, mgmt is totally absent and unreachable (I didn’t mind the latter part, but there was a lot of disorganization, inefficient routines, and DIY training, so it was often a cluster). I will say that they had awesome SW and providers available directly (offices near the patient care areas). A lot of staff were hitting their limits and calling in a lot by the time I left. The understaffing became more and more dangerous, both medically (adverse events d/t copious transfer process paperwork and lack of on-site medical interventions) and behaviorally (daily violence to patients, staff, property…. But NO RESTRAINTS fyi. Most staff were travelers, but $ dropped every 3 months due to the facility’s financial difficulties. I worked day shift. Night shift was treated like a separate entity, so no idea what nights are like there. The place has so much potential. A few easy common sense changes would retain enough staff and allow for the increase in patient capacity which is needed to recover financially. Not that anyone asked me ;)
