Pros
Amazing coworkers with a great community environment. I love 10 minutes away and grew up near here so I personally know a good bit of the patient population personally. They are small town country bumpkins that need things explained in layman’s terms, it’s my kind of people both patients and coworkers are generally wonderful people.
Cons
Low pay, not enough breaks if any some shifts, cut our 20% bonus to which we expected a bump for all the nurses not just icu and ed, however there is no increase in site.

Management back in 2022 was really rude and didn’t help out in the OR and constantly made comments towards staff in a bully manner.

Good compensation, nurse to patient ratio fair on most occasions, slower pace than urban hospitals
Cons
Staff nurses unfriendly to travelers, can get pulled to other units or be downgraded to nursing assistant status frequently, nursing supervisors may cancel shift last minute, outdated facility and charting system
