<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 28, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Labor &amp; Delivery RN for a night shift community hospital role requiring 2+ years L&amp;D and postpartum experience with travel experience required.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Community hospital setting within the Labor and Delivery unit</li><li>Assignment mix of approximately 80% L&amp;D and 20% Mother/Baby/Postpartum</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:2</li><li>Weekend rotation coverage required, to be discussed during interview</li><li>Flexibility for floating within the hospital as needed</li><li>Uses Paragon charting system, with future transition to Epic planned</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active LA state or compact RN license required at time of consideration</li><li>Minimum 2 years of L&amp;D experience with postpartum experience required</li><li>Travel experience required</li><li>Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate</li><li>Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, FHM</li><li>Community hospital experience required</li><li>Charting system experience required (any system accepted)</li><li>One professional reference required</li><li>Disclosure of any license disciplinary actions required at time of consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide nursing care across labor, delivery, and postpartum/mother-baby units</li><li>Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted</li><li>Minimal RTO requests preferred, including around holidays</li><li>Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler</li><li>Orientation includes a virtual first day followed by two on-site days with additional EMR training</li><li>Candidates with recent professional cancellations will be reviewed prior to approval</li></ul>
