Never more than 4:1 but some are 3:1. Teamwork is amazing. Cleanest hospital I have been in. CDU and TCU to unload ER of holds and overnight admissions. I would go back here in a heartbeat. Not to mention the location!!

I worked on the cardiac PCU unit. Although I enjoyed everything about the unit I worked on, I would occasionally get floated other, less enjoyable units. It was clear that some units were very poorly managed and understaffed. Fortunately, I did not get floated often.

There are many great parts about working here, but the supervisor for the team Im on lacks leadership skills and suppresses the teams growth possibilities to maintain her position of power.

Worked in the OR as a traveler.  At least one day a week I stayed 14-17 hrs. Had one call shift I didn't get called in for. Pay is lowish and they reduced their rate. Roanoke area is nice. People are friendly to travelers, but they will not pay attention to your skills checklist and throw you in anything.

Ive worked in some bad places, Carillion was very short staffed and the staff they did have would sleep on the job by the call lights, leave the floor and never come back only to get promoted the next day.  Beautiful place to work though lol and pretty friendly to travelers.  Blue Ridge Parkway and scenery all around. Schedule was easy, ratios 4:1 for PCU. Good equipment, had some tough patients though and management didnt care about fixing problem child types just sort of ignored.
