      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night Med/Surg position requiring EPIC charting experience and trauma exposure in Illinois.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit</li><li>Night shift schedule, 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week</li><li>Care provided to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients</li><li>Utilizes specialized equipment such as IV access devices, chest tubes, PCA machines, blood glucose monitors, and Kangaroo pumps</li><li>Requires use of EPIC EMR system</li><li>Provides initial assessment, develops and implements plans of care, and revises based on patient needs</li><li>Performs and assists with unit-specific procedures and patient therapies</li><li>Ensures timely and accurate documentation and medication administration</li><li>Promotes patient safety through adherence to safety protocols and fall prevention measures</li><li>Engages in effective interdisciplinary communication and collaboration</li><li>Delegates tasks to HCTs and validates completion</li><li>Documents and communicates all aspects of care according to unit standards</li><li>May not remain on assignment for more than one year; 6-month break required before returning</li><li>RTO (requested time off) cannot exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active Illinois RN license or valid temporary license required</li><li>Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience</li><li>Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required</li><li>Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association</li><li>Previous Level 1 Trauma experience required</li><li>EPIC charting experience required</li><li>Fluency in English (speak, read, write)</li><li>Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)</li></ul>
