      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with oncology and telemetry experience for a night shift position serving adult patients.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Position is based in a hospital Medical Surgical/Oncology unit</li><li>29-bed unit serving adult medical, surgical, oncology, urology, and telemetry patients</li><li>Patient ratios are 4-5:1 during the day and 5-6:1 at night</li><li>Responsibilities include central line draws, ports, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assist, and Pleurx chest tubes</li><li>Night shift (3x12hr), every other weekend required</li><li>Clinicians may be floated within their scope to other units as needed</li><li>EMR system used is Cerner</li><li>Royal blue/white scrubs are required</li><li>Primary duties include caring for adult patients with cancer, palliative care needs, and providing family education on oncological processes</li><li>Level IV trauma center and major teaching hospital environment</li><li>Free parking provided for travelers</li><li>Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests</li><li>Limited holiday RTO: request no more than one of the three major holidays</li><li>Float as needed within scope of practice</li><li>First-time travelers are considered</li><li>COVID-19 vaccine is not required</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active WV or compact RN license (or able to submit with pending license)</li><li>Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience required</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li><li>ONCC/ONS certification required</li><li>Telemetry experience required</li><li>Experience with chemotherapy administration preferred</li><li>Experience with central line draws, PCA pumps, ports, and Pleurx chest tubes required</li><li>Candidates must be able to provide medical proof if declining a flu vaccine during flu season (Oct 1–Mar 31)</li><li>Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; 75-99 miles may be considered with approval</li><li>Former permanent employees must wait 2 years after their last day worked to be eligible</li></ul>
