Unsafe patient ratios , poor management for labor and delivery

The management is awful they care only about themselves.  You hold over 20 patients pending admission.  I have never. Been at a place that bullies there staff like this one does.  A place that you put your license at risk.  Several great nurses decided to leave the professions after working in their emergency department.

the only reason i give this 1 star is because my manager and coworkers were amazing. otherwise i would give it 0. staffing is NOT safe. nurse to patient ratio is 1:7 for med/surg, 1:3 ICU, 1:5 for stepdown. you will get admissions right at shift change. i will never go back there unless they get safe ratios.

RUN FAR.

Incredibly backwards and unsafe unit. Drs will argue and forcibly downgrade patients for bed availability, putting them at risk. Charge nurses dont back you up when you have concerns or need a dr to lay eyes on your patient, many get placed in a room and go unseen for hours, refused to put a TB patient into the negative pressure room, i could go on. Working here is a risk to your license and health, and managers will argue it all day long unless you quit the assignment.
