As a Travel Hospice RN, I get to experience many agencies and partner with many care givers. CRMC Davis Hospice Center provides exemplary, respectful and skillful care, second to none! I was blessed to work with the staff for 3 months and, if I were ever tempted to take a permanent staff nursing job, this would be the only place I’d consider. Yes. They are REALLY that awesome!

Home Health

This is the place you want to work at as a traveler. Strict 4:1, overall great teamwork with a few system errors. Outsource nearly all tasks (EKG, line & labs, patient transports). Overall fairly low acuity, with the frequent sneaky-sick patient. Their triage system needs great improvement. Overall great place to work though, and anyone would be happy going staff there. Relatively experienced nurses, with a large amount of new grads. Traumas to a minimum, especially at night. Cheyenne isn’t a knife and gun club, more MVA-associated traumas. Level 3 center that feels like a 2.

Genuinely enjoyed the team there and management. Worked there as a traveler and didn’t feel I was treated poorly, or given worst assignment.
Love that there is a Starbucks in house open M-F. Overall nice hospital.

Small town vibes in a ED that is way too small for their patient population! The nursing and tech staff overall is great to work with. Lots of staff drama but easy to stay out of as an outsider. Doctors are set in their ways and patient turnover is extremely slow. Management is very involved, frequent chart audits and expectation of travelers is similar to staff (scan rates, online modules, attendance of “equipment rodeo” training). It was worth it for the money but would not suggest long term.
