 American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU night shift position requiring a WI or compact RN license and recent high-acuity cardiac PICU experience.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Position is in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) unit caring for neonates, infants, and adult congenital heart patients</li><li>Primary work setting is a hospital environment with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.</li><li>Requires floating to NICU and PICU units as needed</li><li>Every other weekend and holiday rotation required</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>Utilizes Epic EMR system</li><li>RNs coordinate and manage care for pediatric cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients</li><li>Patient population includes those with open heart procedures, transplants, and open chests</li><li>Skills required in critical thinking, hemodynamic monitoring, and care for patients with respiratory failure</li><li>Professional scrubs of any color permitted</li><li>Dress code allows a single small nose stud and standard ear piercings</li></ul>
 
 <h2>Requirements</h2>
 <ul><li>Active WI or compact RN license required</li><li>Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred</li><li>ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred</li><li>Minimum 12-18 months high-acuity cardiac PICU experience required</li><li>Level I Trauma experience highly preferred</li><li>Flu vaccine required with no exemptions</li></ul>

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour weekend night shifts Friday and Saturday from 6:50 PM to 7:20 AM 
• Guaranteed 24 hours per week for 13-week contract 
• 2 weeks of Monday-Friday orientation from 6:50 AM to 3:20 PM 
• Circulating position in 14 operating rooms and 3 special procedure rooms (GI, oncology, dental) 
• Specialties include ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, craniofacial/plastics, neurology, and ophthalmology 
• Float to Surgicenter when needed 
• On-call requirements: minimum 1 weekday per week and every 4th weekend (Friday end of shift through Monday 7:00 AM) 
• 30-minute call response time required 
• May be required to provide in-house on-call coverage overnight when full-time staff call out 
• Holiday coverage as needed including in-house coverage or 24-hour beeper call 
• Rotate every other weekend as needed 
• Minimum 3 years OR experience and pediatric experience required 
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, unencumbered Wisconsin or Compact RN license 
• Epic charting system 
• Scrubs: any color except all black 
• Single small nose stud permitted, flesh-colored or clear piercing plugs allowed 
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions 
• Education: Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
