Opportunity:
RN - ICU

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM 
• Every other weekend requirement 
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff 
• 2:1 patient ratio in 22-bed ICU with average daily census of 8 
• Self-scheduling available but not guaranteed 
• First to float - will float to telemetry unit (4:1 ratio) and may float to ED if desired 
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided 
• Navy scrubs required 
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS 
• 2 years of nursing experience required, travel experience preferred 
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in traveler-friendly environment 
• Use Cerner PowerChart EMR system 
• Manage various drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, cardiac and hypertensive drips, propofol 
• Work with ventilators: Hamilton G5, Puritan Bennett 840 
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips (GE monitors in patient rooms, no monitor tech) 
• Care for patients with sepsis, chest pain, GI bleeds, TIAs, strokes in general medical-surgical ICU setting 
• No CRRT experience required 
• 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist and respiratory therapy support available 
• Pharmacy staffed 7 AM to midnight with Omnicell for after-hours access
