      <p>American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor &amp; Delivery position requiring a WA or compact RN license and experience in L&amp;D, antepartum, postpartum, and acute MedSurg care.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a critical access hospital with Labor &amp; Delivery and postpartum patient populations</li><li>Unit has 2 L&amp;D rooms with acute care beds used for postpartum stays longer than 24 hours</li><li>C-sections are performed in the OR with PACU responsible for recovery; OB nurses care for newborns post-delivery</li><li>Typical volume is 50-60 births annually with low high-risk patient volume</li><li>RN staff may have a 1:1 patient ratio, occasionally 1:2, and only one OB nurse per shift</li><li>12-hour night shifts with schedules typically blocked together and completed 4 weeks at a time</li><li>Weekend shifts typically required every other weekend</li><li>Holiday coverage may be required as needed</li><li>Floating to the Acute MedSurg floor required when no OB patients are present</li><li>Uses Cerner Community Works EMR</li><li>Fetal Link EFM system utilized on unit</li><li>Duties include comprehensive care for antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and neonatal patients</li><li>No nurse aides or surgical techs assigned to the L&amp;D unit</li><li>Charge nurse coverage is provided for the whole hospital, not specifically the L&amp;D unit</li><li>Family Practice OBs are on site during clinic hours and available on call after hours</li><li>No respiratory therapist (RT) in house; basic neonatal respiratory equipment available as needed</li><li>Scrubs must be clean and professional with no specific color required</li><li>Department-specific orientation provided (1 day)</li><li>First-time travelers will be considered for this position</li></ul>
